Mandate
Given that GHRS has been set up to service the HR needs of the Public Service of Trinidad and Tobago we see our mandate as follows:
To facilitate the enhancement of the Human Resource capacity in the Public Service of Trinidad and Tobago through:

The provision of services to recruit professionals (nationals and non-nationals) from abroad to fill the skills gaps that currently exist in the Public Service and facilitate their integration into Trinidad and Tobago’s life

The provision of outfitting services which will enable consistency in the standard of outfitted space provided

The provision of technical assistance and advice to Ministries and Departments in order to assist in fast tracking the implementation of Government’s HRM policies, strategies and agenda

The development of guidelines for overseas recruitment; change management strategies, the undertaking of reference checking, the establishment of information and support structures for assisting persons with (re)settlement into Trinidad and Tobago, including making this information available online

The establishment of a database of skilled Trinidad and Tobago, CARICOM and other nationals overseas who could be “head-hunted” to fill particular vacancies within the public sector, or to provide consultancy or technical advisory and support services. Organisations that could be used to facilitate overseas professional recruitment should be included in this database

The dissemination of information to facilitate professional recruitment from overseas, in particular from the expatriate Trinidad and Tobago and Caribbean communities through the use of Trinidad and Tobago Overseas Missions and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
